Understanding the Integration
Integrating Dynamics 365 Business Central with Dynamics 365 Sales is about creating a cohesive environment where data and processes are synchronized across your business operations. This connection means that sales teams can access real-time inventory levels, order status, and customer financials directly within Dynamics 365 Sales, while finance teams can view sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline information from Dynamics 365 Business Central. Step-by-Step Guide to Integration
1. In the first step, you need to log into your Business Central environment and click on the gear “Settings” icon in the top right corner. After that click on “Assisted setup”.
2. On the Assisted Setup screen, you will need to find the “Setup connection to Dynamics 365 Sales” option and click on it.

4. Once you have completed that you can proceed with the connection, on this screen you need to specify your Sales environment URL to which you would like to make the connection. After that click on the “Next” button.
5. The next step is to enable this connection just by clicking on the “Finish” button. Maybe you will be asked to sign in with your admin account, if it asks just to log in you be able to continue the process. Or if you want you can click on the “Advanced” button and choose your connection setup manually here.
6. After that, you need to wait for a little bit so that the process finishes the connection.
7. The next screen will show the main screen for configuring Dynamics 365 Sales Connection Setup. On this screen, you will be configuring all tables and making connections between the Business Central and Sales applications.
8. Switch to the “Mapping” tab and click on “Integration Table Mapping” to bring the list with all tables available for the connection.
9. From the list, choose the one that you want to make the connection. After you choose your table click on the top of the screen “…” → “Coupling” → “Match Based Coupling”.
10. Here you will be redirected to the “Integration Synchronization Jobs” where you will be able to follow the progress of the sync. Go back to step 9. and repeat the process for all tables that you would like to make a coupling connection between Business Central and Sales.
11. After you finish all that go back to the main screen click on the “Synchronization” tab and Click on the “Run Full Synchronization” button.
This will give an overview of all coupling matches that you have done previously. You can check once again all the previous steps that you have taken for coupling connections. If you are satisfied with all your work, click on the “Sync All” button and the pop-up will come up to explain how the synchronization will work. Click on the “Yes” button and the process will start.
